Zero Tolerance for Corruption

Platform Statement:
“As Mayor, I will not tolerate corruption or abuse of public trust. Any member of City Council, administration, or affiliated party suspected of using their position for personal gain will be held accountable.”

• Rationale:

  • Public trust is essential.

  • Corruption drains resources needed for public services.

  • Honest businesses should not be disadvantaged by insider favoritism.

• City Role & Enforcement Tools:

  • Mandate disclosure of conflicts of interest.

  • Strengthen Edmonton’s Integrity Commissioner and support independent audits.

  • Propose an ethics reform bylaw with penalties for violations.
